Solution:

Given the image;

The hypotenuse side of the right angle is given. Then, the opposite side to the angle is z and the adjacent side is y.

We would use the cosine ratio where;

\cos \theta=(adjacent)/(hypotenuse)

Then;

\begin{gathered} \theta=22^o \\ \cos 22^o=(y)/(7) \\ y=7\cos 22^o \\ y=6.5 \end{gathered}

Also, we would use sine ratio where;

\sin \theta=(opposite)/(hypotenuse)

Then;

\begin{gathered} \sin 22^o=(z)/(7) \\ z=7\sin 22^o \\ z=2.6 \end{gathered}

FINAL ANSWERS:

\begin{gathered} y=6.5 \\ z=2.6 \end{gathered}
