In the above diagram, AB is the flag, BC is the shadow and angle C is the ngle of elevation.

Now,


\begin{gathered} \tan c=(82)/(45) \\ c=\tan ^(-1)((82)/(45)) \\ =61.243 \end{gathered}

So, teh angle of elevation is 61.243 degrees.
