Total cost = $15

Adult movie ticket cost: $7.50

Child's ticket cost: Half the price of the adult ticket: 7.50/2 = $3.75

So, the total cost equation is:

\text{total cost : 7.50x + 3.75 y}

Where:

x = number of Adult movie tickets (1 , mom)

y= number of child tickets (2)

Replacing with the values given:

T=7.50(1)+3.75(2)
T=7.50+7.50=15
