\begin{gathered} x=8 \\ y=6 \\ 2x-(4+y) \end{gathered}

So value of 2x-(4+y) is:


\begin{gathered} =2x-(4+y) \\ put\text{ the value of x=8 and y=6} \\ =2(8)-(4+6) \\ =16-(10) \\ =16-10 \\ =6 \end{gathered}

The value is 6.
