The expression is given as,

4(y-30)=4y+12

This is a linear equation in one variable.

So it can be simply solved using transposing of terms.

Resolve the parenthesis,

\begin{gathered} 4(y)-4(30)=4y+12 \\ 4y-120=4y+12 \end{gathered}

Transpose the terms,

\begin{gathered} 4y-4y=12+120 \\ 0=132 \end{gathered}

Observe that the variable 'y' gets eliminated, thereby leaving a false equality equation. As we know that 0 and 32 cannot be equal.

Therefore, it can be concluded that the given equality does not hold true for any value of the variable.

Thus, there is no solution of the given equation.
