To Determine: The two times when the height was 15 feet

Solution

Given the quadratic formula below


\begin{gathered} A\text{ quadratic equation below} \\ ax^2+bx+c=0 \\ Using\text{ quadratic formula} \\ x=(-b\pm√(b^2-4ac))/(2a) \end{gathered}

When height is 15 feet


\begin{gathered} 15=-16t^2+30t+10 \\ 16t^2-30t-10+15=0 \\ 16t^2-30t+5=0 \end{gathered}

Using quadratic formula


\begin{gathered} a=16,b=-30,c=5 \\ t=(-(-30)\pm√((-30)^2-4*16*5))/(2*16) \end{gathered}
