To find the missing value we can us the sine function:


\sin \theta=\frac{\text{opp}}{\text{hyp}}

in this case the missing value x is the hypotenuse, the opposite leg is 35 and the angle is 45°, then we have:


\begin{gathered} \sin 45=(35)/(x) \\ x=(35)/(\sin 45) \\ x=42.4 \end{gathered}

Then we have that x=42.4
