From the given figure

x is a leg of a right triangle

The hypotenuse of the triangle is 15 cm

There is an acute angle of measure 46 degrees

Since the given leg is an adjacent side of the given angle, then

We will use the cosine ratio

\begin{gathered} \cos 46=(adj)/(hyp.) \\ \cos 46=(x)/(15) \end{gathered}

By using cross multiplication

x=15\cos 46

Use the calculator to find x

x=10.41987556

Round it to the nearest tenth

x = 10.4 cm
