Notice that:


C\subseteq B.

Therefore:


\begin{gathered} B\cup C=B, \\ B\cap C=C. \end{gathered}

Now, B and C in interval notation are:


\begin{gathered} B=\lbrack1,\infty), \\ C=(6,\infty). \end{gathered}

Answer:


\begin{gathered} B\cup C=\lbrack1,\infty), \\ B\cap C=(6,\infty). \end{gathered}
