To solve the problem given, we will follow the steps below:

The two angles formed a straight line which is 180°

This implies that;

4x + (5x-27) = 180

4x + 5x - 27 = 180

9x - 27 = 180

add 27 to both-side of the equation

9x - 27 + 27 = 180 + 27

9x =207

Divide both-side of the equation by 9

9x/9 = 207/9

x = 23

Substitute the value of x into 4x and (5x-27)

The first angle = 4x = 4(23) = 92

The second angle is 5x-27 = 5(23) - 27 = 115-27 =88

The measure of the two angles are: 92o and 88n

9x/9 = 207/9

x = 23
