The chef should charge the customers $60 for the meal income

Here, we want to get the cost the meal should be for customers

We are going to use a proportion in this case

Let the cost of the meal to customers be $x

We have to equate the ratio to the cost to income ratio

We have this as follows;

\begin{gathered} 3\colon20\text{ = 9:x} \\ (3)/(20)\text{ = }(9)/(x) \\ \\ 3\text{ }*\text{ x = 9}*20 \\ 3x\text{ = 180} \\ x\text{ = }(180)/(3) \\ \\ x\text{ = \$60} \end{gathered}
