From the given diagram we get that:

Therefore the orientation of the figure is preserved.

Recall that the only transformation that preserves orientation that is not a translation is a rotation.

Therefore the transformation that would map figure 3 onto figure 4 is a rotation about point B.

Answer: A rotation about point B.
