We can state this question as a rule of three, that is,

\begin{gathered} 85\text{ miles ------ 100 \%} \\ 65\text{ miles ------- x} \end{gathered}

then, x is given as

\begin{gathered} x=\frac{(65\text{ miles) (100 \%)}}{\text{85 miles}} \\ \end{gathered}

which gives

\begin{gathered} x=(6500)/(85)\text{ \%} \\ x=76.47\text{ \%} \end{gathered}

Then, the answer is 76.47 %

We know that the total miles is 85 miles. So we can find the ratio of traveled miles to total miles, which is

(65)/(85)=0.7647

This means that 65 miles represents 0.7647 of 85 miles. In percentaje, this corresponds to 7
