`2(x - 7) + (8x + 20)`

First, apply distributive property on the second parentheses:

(-2x +4 ) + 2 (2x) + 2 (1)

-2x + 4 + 4x + 2

Combine like terms:

-2x + 4x + 4 +2

2x + 6
