Triangle XYZ was dilated around the origin by a scale factor of 2/3.The original coordinates of XYZ are X (0, 3), Y (3, 6), and Z(-3,-9). Whatare the coordinates of the dilated image?

X is at (0,3) and is scaled by 2/3

Multiply both coordinated by 2/3

X' = (0*2/3, 3 * 2/3) = (0, 2)

Y is at (3,6) and is scaled by 2/3

Multiply both coordinated by 2/3

Y' = (3*2/3, 6 * 2/3) = (3, 4)

Z is at (-3,9) and is scaled by 2/3

Multiply both coordinated by 2/3

Z' = (-3*2/3, -9 * 2/3) = (-2, -6)
