(3x+5)(2x+8) = 0

Either 3x + 5 = 0 or 2x + 8 = 0

3x + 5 = 0

Subtract 5 from both-side of the equation

3x = -5

Divide both-side by 3

x =-5/3

2x + 8 = 0

subtract 8 from both-side of the equation

2x = -8

Divide both-side of the equation by 2

x = -4
