6. Mandy's garden is full of red, yellow, and white tulips. She planted 160 bulbs late September. If 80% of the bulbs have bloomed, how many bulbs have not? I

If 80% of the bulbs have bloomed that means that 20% of them have not bloomed, so if 160 is the 100%, then we can use a rule of 3 to calculate the 20% so:


\begin{gathered} 160\to100 \\ x\to20 \end{gathered}

and the equation will be:


x=(160\cdot20)/(100)=32

This mean that 32 bulbs have not bloomed.
