The given equation: y = -2x + 4

The value of x & y in table, which satisfy the equation are the solution of the equation

TABLE : 1

\begin{gathered} \text{for, x = }1,\text{ y =2} \\ y=-2x+4 \\ 2=-2(1)+4 \\ 2=2 \\ \\ \text{for , x = }2,\text{ y=0} \\ y=-2x+4 \\ 0=-2(2)+4 \\ 0=0 \\ \\ \text{for, x=}3,\text{ y=-2} \\ y=-2x+4 \\ -2=-2(3)+4 \\ -2=-6+4 \\ -2=-2 \\ \\ \text{for, }x=4,\text{ y=-4} \\ y=-2x+4 \\ -4=-2(4)+4 \\ -4=-8+4 \\ -4=-4 \end{gathered}

Each value in the table(1) satisfy the equation

So, Table 1 matches the function y = -2x +4

Table 2

\begin{gathered} \text{for, x = }1,\text{ y =}-9 \\ y=-2x+4 \\ -9=-2(1)+4 \\ -9\\e2 \\ LHS\\e RHS \end{gathered}

So, the table(2) doesnot matches the equation y = -2x+4

Table 3:

\begin{gathered} \text{for, x = }1,\text{ y =}5 \\ y=-2x+4 \\ 5=-2(1)+4 \\ 5\\e2 \\ \text{LHS}\\e RHS \end{gathered}

So, the table(3) doesnot matches the equation y = -2x+4

table 4:

\begin{gathered} \text{for, x = }1,\text{ y =}10 \\ y=-2x+4 \\ 10=-2(1)+4 \\ 10\\e2 \\ \text{LHS}\\e RHS \end{gathered}

So, the table(4) doesnot matches the equation y = -2x+4

Answer: Table A matches the equation y = -2x + 4
