5x-2y=6(1+2)

start by simplifying the equation

\begin{gathered} 5x-2y=6\cdot3 \\ 5x-2y=18 \end{gathered}

continue by bringing the equation into the slope-intercept form

y=mx+b

-2y=-5x+18

divide both sides by -2

(-2y)/(-2)=(-5)/(-2)x+(18)/(-2)

simplify the equation

y=(5)/(2)x-9

the slope of the line is

(5)/(2)=2(1)/(2)
