To solve the product, we have to use the distributive property.

(8x^2-4x-8)(2x^2+3x+2)=16x^4-12x^2-16

The powers with similar bases are solved by just adding their exponents.

Therefore, the product of the polynomials is equivalent to

16x^4-12x^2-16
