In a survey, 54 people indicated that they prefer cats, 162 indicated that they prefer dogs, and 40 indicated that they don't enjoy either pet. Find the probability that a randomly chosen person will prefer cats.

startby calculating the total amount of people that were in the survey


54+162+40=256

to find the probability check the favorable cases over the total cases


(54)/(256)=(27)/(128)
