Let the number of students be x

The number of teachers = 5

Both are in simple ratio of 3 to 20

Firstly, establish a proportion between the students and the teachers

\begin{gathered} (3)/(20)\text{ = }(5)/(x) \\ \text{Cross multiply} \\ 3\cdot\text{ x = 5 x 20} \\ 3x\text{ = 100} \\ \text{Divide both sides by 3} \\ x\text{ = }(100)/(3) \\ x\text{ = 33.33} \\ \text{This implies that 30 students can attend} \end{gathered}
