Consider the following diagram of the given problem:

and we know that the area of the rectangle is base times height, that is:

A\text{ = b x h }=16^{\frac{1}{5\text{ }}}*2^{\frac{1}{5\text{ }}}\text{ = }1.88

but

2^{(3)/(5)}\text{ = 1.51}

so answer A is incorrect. On the other hand

2^{(4)/(5)}\text{ = 1}.74

so again, B is incorrect. On the other hand,

C is incorrect because 1.51 is a decimal number and not a natural or integer number.

So the correct answer is the last one.

a rectangle has a lenght of 5 √(16)inches and a width of 2 * (1)/(5)inches. find the-example-1
