When it comes to shells surrounding a nuclues, we can have 6 of them, and they receive a letter to properly identify them.

K with an electron capacity of 2

L = 8

M = 18

N = 32

O = 50

P = 72

Therefore the N-shell, which is the shell number 4, has the capacity of receiving 32 electrons
