The gravitational pull of the earth is:

g=9.8(m)/(s^2)

Half this gravitational pull is:

(g)/(2)=(9.8)/(2)(m)/(s^2)

Solving the operations:

(g)/(2)=4.9(m)/(s^2)

Therefore, the gravitational pull of the planet is 4.9 meters per second squared.
