Okay, here we have this:

Acoording with the provided info we obtain the following

Number of 10 cent coins = x

Number of 25 cent coins=2*Number of 10 cent coins=2x

Number of 5 cent coins=12+Number of 10 cent coins=12+x

Total money collected ($11)=Number of 10 cent coins($0.10)+Number of 25 cent coins($0.25)+Number of 5 cent coins($0.05)

So, replacing we obtain:

$11=(x)$0.10+(2x)$0.25+(x+12)$0.05

11=0.1x+0.25(2x)+0.05(x+12)

11=0.1x+0.5x+0.05x+0.6

11-0.6=0.1x+0.5x+0.05x

10.4=0.1x+0.5x+0.05x

10.4=0.65x

x=10.4/0.65

x=16

Number of 10 cent coins = x=16

Number of 25 cent coins=2*Number of 10 cent coins=2x=2*16=32

Number of 5 cent coins=12+Number of 10 cent coins=12+x=12+16=28

Finally we obtain that they collected 16 dimes, 32 quarters and 28 nickels.
