Domain:

In the graph, 'x' takes two groups of values:


-5And:[tex]x>2

So, the domain is:


D=(-5,2)\cup(2,\infty)

Range:

In the graph you can see that 'y' takes the value -4 for some values of 'x' (the ones between -1 and 2) and then, for the rest, it takes values greater than -2.

So, the range of this function is:


R=\lbrack-4\rbrack\cup(-2,\infty)
