Like terms are the ones that have the same variable raised to the same power. In this case, there are two pairs of like terms (-3x and 9x) and (4 and 3). Solve the operations to combine these like terms:

\begin{gathered} (-3x+4)-(9x+3) \\ -3x+4-9x-3 \\ -12x+1 \end{gathered}

The answer is -12x+1.
