How do you calculate the total current of a parallel circuit of resistors?

In a parallel circuit of resistors the total current of the circuit is the sum of the current in each branch. Which means that:


I_T=I_1+I_2+\cdot\cdot\cdot+I_n

where n is the number of branches on the circuit.
