We get the following equation by observing the given table.

\text{2 times number of pacakages=Number of favours.}

Molly needs 24 favours.

Substitute number of favours=24, we get

\text{2 times number of pacakages=2}4

\text{2 }*\text{ number of pacakages=2}4

Dividing by 2 into both sides, we get

\frac{\text{2 }*\text{ number of pacakages}}{2}\text{=}(24)/(2)

\text{number of pacakages}=12

Hence molly needs to buy 12 packages to have 24 favours.
