The weight of an object on Earth varies directly with the weight of the

same object on planet Boondin. An object that weighs 314 pounds on
planet Boondin would only weigh 70 pounds on Earth. How much
would an object that weighs 105 pounds on planet Boondin weigh on
Earth?

Answer:

approx. 23.4076433 pounds; ~23.41 pounds

Explanation:

to find this out we must first find the ratio

314:70 is the ratio

this can be simplified to

157:35

this number is basically saying that an object on boondin weighs approximately 4.48571429 more than on Earth

so we could divide 105 by 4.48571429

105 / 4.48571429 is 23.4076433

so on earth it would weigh about 23.4076433 pounds

rounded to the nearest hundredth is 23.41 pounds
