The notation f(-4) indicates that you have to find the value of f(x) when x=-4

To do so you have to locate -4 in the x-axis and cross it with the function, as you can see, there is a point in the function marked for this x-value (-4,2), this point is marked with a blank dot, which indicates that is not included in the definition of the function.

The correct answer is that there is no point at x=-4 (option D)
