The new substances that are made from a chemical reaction have a combination of the properties of the reactants. For example, Table Salt is a product that will be a gas like Chlorine, and will be shiny like Sodium, from which it was made. True or False.

The sentence is False since the new substances that are obtained from a chemical reaction do not always have a combination of the properties of the reagents.

Many products tend to form a new compound with chemical and/or physical properties totally different from the properties of their reagents.
