we have the equation

-3x-7y=-42

Part A

x-intercepts (values of x when the value of y=0)

so

For y=0

substitute in the given equation

-3x-7(0)=-42

-3x=-42

x=14

therefore

x-intercept is (14,0)

Part B

y-intercept (value of y when the value of x=0)

so

For x=0

-3(0)-7y=-42

-7y=-42

y=6

therefore

y-intercept is (0,6)
