For a chemical equation to be balanced, the number of atoms of each element have to be the same in both sides of the reaction.

In the given equation, there is 1 atom of carbon in both, reactants and products and also, 2 atoms of oxygen in both sides.

This means that the given equation is already balanced, therefore the coefficients of each substance are 1.

For all the substances, the coefficient is 1.
