Given

charge per hour: $75

inspection fee = $100

sales tax = 8.25% of subtotal

time : 1 hour

The total charge would be the sum of the charge per hour, inspection fee and the sales tax.

The subtotal charge:

\begin{gathered} =\text{ charge per hour +inspection fee} \\ =\text{ \$75 }*\text{ 1 + \$100} \\ =\text{ \$175} \end{gathered}

Adding the sales tax:

\begin{gathered} Total\text{ charge = \$175 + }(8.25)/(100)\text{ }*\text{ 175} \\ =\text{ \$189.4375} \\ \approx\text{ \$189} \end{gathered}

Hence, the total charge for a 1 hour service would be $189
