If one side if a triangle is 12 one is 5 what is the missing number...rounded to the nearest tenth

The given sides of a triangle are 12 and 5.

Let x be the length of third side.


12+5=17>x[tex]12-5=7Therefore, the possible values of x is between 17 and 7.

Therefore, the length of the third side x can be 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 or 16.
