A motorcycle can travel 70 miles per gallon. Approximately how many gallons of fuel will the motorcycle need to travel 60 km? [1 mile = 1.6 km]

Given,

A motorcycle travels 70 miles per gallon.

We know,

1 mile =1.6 km

Thus the motorcycle travels,

70 miles=70x1.6 km=112 km.

So, 112 km distance takes 1 gallon of fuel.

Thus to travel 60 km we need,


(1)/(112)*60=0.535

Gallon of fuel required is 0.535.
