We have to substract this two complex numbers.

To do that we group the real terms together and the imaginary terms too.

We can do this as:

\begin{gathered} \mleft(-2+3\mright)—\mleft(-4+5\mright) \\ -2+3i+4-5i \\ (-2+4)+(3i-5i) \\ 2+(-2i) \\ 2-2i \end{gathered}

Answer: 2 - 2i
