The first line passes through (5,0) and (0,-5) so the slope is:

((-5)-0)/(0-5)=1

So slope of first line is 1.

The second line passes through the points (1,0) and (0,4) so the slope of the line is given by:

(4-0)/(0-1)=-4

So slope of the second line is -4.
