Given the expression:

3\cdot(1)/(4)\cdot(2)/(3)

Fist step is to express the "whole" as a fraction, for this, divide it by 1

(3)/(1)\cdot(1)/(4)\cdot(2)/(3)

Second step, multiply the first two fractions:

(3)/(1)\cdot(1)/(4)=(3\cdot1)/(1\cdot4)=(3)/(4)

Third step, multiply the result of the first operation by the third fraction:

(3)/(4)\cdot(2)/(3)=(3\cdot2)/(4\cdot3)=(6)/(12)

Finally simplify the expression, both the numerator and denominator are divisible by 6 so:

(6/6)/(12/6)=(1)/(2)

Then the result for the given expression is 1/2

3\cdot(1)/(4)\cdot(2)/(3)=(1)/(2)
