You have 0.50L of a gold chloride solution. You add 0.50L to the solution creating 1.OL ofsolution with a concentration of 0.26M. What was the original concentration?

According to the explanation given in our previous session, now we have to find the initial concentration from given volumes and given final concentration, we will keep using the Dilution formula for it:

M1V1 = M2V2

We have:

M1 = ?

V1 = 0.50 L

M2 = 0.26 M

V2 = 1.0 L

Now we add the values into the formula:

M1 * 0.50 = 0.26 * 1.0

M1 = 0.52 M, this was the initial concentration
