The formula for the volume(V) of the vacant lot is,

V=\text{length}* width* height

Given data

\begin{gathered} \text{length}=10ft \\ \text{width}=12ft \\ \text{height}=10ft \end{gathered}

Therefore,

V=10*12*10=1200ft^3

Given that

\begin{gathered} 40ft^3=1\text{ }truck\text{ load} \\ \therefore1200ft^3=x \end{gathered}

Solving for x

\begin{gathered} x*40ft^3=1200ft^3*1truck\text{ load} \\ (x*40ft^3)/(40ft^3)=\frac{1200ft^3*1truck\text{ load}}{40ft^3} \\ x=30\text{ truck loads} \end{gathered}

Therefore, it will take 30 truckloads to fill the hole.
