Amy has 3/4 of a meter of ribbon. For each bookmark she's decorating, she'll need 1/10 of a meter. This means she needs to find how many one-tenths are available in three-quarters.

Therefore;

\begin{gathered} \text{Number of bookmarks=}(3)/(4)\text{ / }(1)/(10) \\ \text{Number of bookmarks=}(3)/(4)*(10)/(1) \\ \text{Number of bookmarks=}(30)/(4) \\ \text{Number of bookmarks=}(15)/(2) \\ \text{The answer is 7}(1)/(2)bookmarks \end{gathered}

However, since she cannot make a fraction of a bookmark, then the answer is 7 (we would disregard the half)
