We need to solve the following equation:

(5x)/(x-1)+5=(15)/(x-1)

Notice that x ≠ 1, since x = 1 makes zero the denominators. Then, multiplying all the terms by x-1, we obtain:

\begin{gathered} (5x)/(x-1)\cdot(x-1)+5(x-1)=(15)/(x-1)\cdot(x-1) \\ \\ 5x\cdot(x-1)/(x-1)+5x-5=15\cdot(x-1)/(x-1) \\ \\ 5x+5x-5=15 \\ \\ 10x-5=15 \\ \\ 10x-5+5=15+5 \\ \\ 10x=20 \\ \\ (10x)/(10)=(20)/(10) \\ \\ x=2 \end{gathered}
