2. What is the probability of selecting a red card from a standard deck of cards

In a standard deck of cards we have 52 cards, and half of which are red, half are black.

so the half of 52 is


(52)/(2)=26

so the probability is


(26)/(52)=(13)/(26)=(1)/(2)

the probability is 1/2
