Given the graph of the inequality shown by the shaded region

The equation of the line is x + 2y = -2

The line is a sold line, so, we will use ≥ or ≤

We will check the region by the test point (0,0)

Substitute with x = 0, and y = 0

So,

x+2y=(0)+2(0)=0>-2

As the point (0,0) is not a solution to the given inequality

So, the equation of the inequality will be as follows:

x+2y\le-2

So, the answer will be: x + 2y ≤ -2
