From the question;

A technical mechinist is asked to build a cubical steel tank that will hold 220L of water

this implies


\text{Volume of water = 220L}

Using the formula of volume of cube


\text{volume of cube = l}^3

converting Liters to cubic meter

WE have


220\text{ L = }0.22m^3

Hence


Volumeofcubical-\tan k=0.22m^3

Finding the length


\begin{gathered} l^3=0.22m^3 \\ l=\sqrt[3]{0.22m^3^{}} \\ l=0.604m \end{gathered}

Hence the smallest possible inside length of the cubical tank is 0.604m
