then

x + 48 = 90

x = 90 - 48

x = 42 degrees

(b) the first angle is 65 degree

let the other angle is x

then

x + 65 = 180

x = 180 - 65

x = 115 degrees

so the suppplement angle of 65 is 115 degrees,
