the pool with 40m³ of water in it is 1.25m deep

Explanation:

first convert 150 cm to 1.5m

2nd 8m l × 4m w × 1.5m d = 48m³

3rd divide 40m³ by 8m l × 4m w or 32m²

40m³/32m² = 1.25m deep
